Final Project

Final Project - Biographical PresentationThe Final Project will consist of two parts. A Power Point presentation and a professional art packet.

Power Point- This will be shown to the class and must contain at least 20 images. The images can be from childhood to this semester. Just like our assignments this semester, I'd like these images to reflect your influences and inspirations as well as examples of your artwork.... all of your artwork, not just your computer work. The presentation should be about 5 minutes long.
Art Packet- This will be a binder or folder that contains a business card, cover letter or artist statement on your letterhead. A CD containing your Power Point presentation and a PDF file containing 10 of your artworks.

Real World Photoshop

Two articles about high end, high priced Photoshop retouching in the fashion world.
Things to consider....  Is it OK to retouch magazine cover photos? Is it OK that we aren't always told the image is altered? Is there a difference between an altered fashion photo and a war photo? Other thoughts? Please respond on your blog by next class.

Fall 2008

This semester all Foundation Computer students will be creating a blog at blogger.com. You will be asked to maintain the blog by uploading jpgs of class assignments, adding your classmates blog addresses, posting links to interesting articles you find and generally sharing your creative experience here at Tyler. Some of you may have facebook or myspace  pages, but I want this to be geared more toward your artistic network rather than your friend network.
When you upload an image of a project, make sure that you add a few lines describing the project and your solution or thought process.. If you leave comments on someone else's blog, please keep them clean and cruelty free.

Good Luck!
Sam
